Brighton & Hove UNISON Annual General Meeting 2025-26
UNISON Brighton & Hove had its Annual General Meeting on the 24 of March, reflecting on the year 2025-26 and resolving on motions and challenges in the year to come.
All standing officers were elected for their roles, and were joined by Ori Selkirk, who was elected as the branch’s new Young Members officer. Branch Secretaries Corinna and Diana noted the increasing demands on union time made by the organisational changes at the city council, growing workplace stress and rise in national and global instability.
In the coming year the branch wil be focusing on steward development, standing up for our migrant workers, launching our members equalities and safety survey, and defending our members from cuts, outsoucing and low pay, as ever.
