Branch Chair, Secretary Position Open for Retired Members

UNISON Retired Member’s Conference, 2021, Brighton

UNISON has a dynamic and vibrant retired members’ section, giving our senior colleagues a voice at the heart of the union. 

Retired members meet locally every second Tuesday of the month, from 10.30 am to 12 pm, at Leach Court in Brighton. They also attend Branch Committee meetings and get involved in both local and national campaigns.

Retired members act as a vital link between employed and retired colleagues, and that solidarity between generations is more important than ever. Issues such as the provision of a good pension, a healthy life after work, and a fair society matter to every UNISON member, regardless of age.

Two exciting vacancies have arisen within the local retired members’ group: Branch Chair and Branch Secretary. Expressions of interest are welcome on or before 10 February, with the potential for members to be voted in at the AGM on that day.
